Wedding cakes and cupcakes are freshly baked to order using the very best ingredients such as real butter, free range eggs, Madagascan vanilla, Belgium Cocoa & chocolate, and handmade local preserves. Sponge cakes have three layers of moist delicious sponge in each tier and are layered with heavenly buttercream, preserves or chocolate ganache.
Below are our most popular flavor combinations. If you have a favorite that you cannot see here, just ask and we will create them for you. Our brides may choose different flavours for each tier of their wedding cake.
A light traditional moist Victorian sponge made with Madagascan vanilla sprinkled with a vanilla syrup and filled with vanilla bean buttercream.
A dense rich moist chocolate cake made with Belgium chocolate and layered with a rich chocolate buttercream.
Indulgent and rich chocolate mud cake with Belgian chocolate, hazelnut cream, nuts, and filled with a smooth hazelnut praline buttercream.
Soft Italian nougat sponge with roasted almond and pistachio nuts, honey, and chopped candied fruit smothered in a vanilla bean buttercream.
Luscious zesty lemon sponge made with fresh lemon zest, infused with a lemon drizzle and filled with a light lemon buttercream and tangy lemon curd.
Traditional red velvet moist sponge with a dash of Belgium cocoa and filled with a rich cream cheese buttercream icing.
An exquisite carrot cake crammed with luscious carrots, roasted walnuts, pecan nuts and a lightly spiced cream cheese buttercream icing.
Delicious coffee sponge made with the finest espresso coffee and filled with a caramel buttercream, sprinkled with sea salt flakes.
Yummy light Turkish sponge with homemade Turkish delight buttercream icing, layered with a soft rosebud syrup.
A moist sponge infused with Marc de Champagne, layered with champagne buttercream and a fresh Strawberry conserve.
Classic light tender pistachio sponge with pistachio nuts and smothered in a decadent Amarula honey buttercream.
Passionfruit and coconut sponge with a smooth rich white chocolate infused buttercream.
Famous German chocolate sponge with a kirsch soaked Morello cherry buttercream.
An exquisite mid-rich fruit cake crammed with dried fruits, pecan nuts, walnuts, red cherries, sultanas, and soaked with premium brandy.
Our wedding favours are decadent fudge squares, handmade nougat squares, French macarons, decorated cake pops, and cupcakes. These can be individually packaged or in packs of 2/3 per packet/box. This can be discussed at the consultation and cake tasting. Our macaron flavours include (but are not limited to) the following:
Lemon zest (pastel yellow)
Turkish delight (pastel pink)
Chocolate fudge (light chocolate)
Vanilla bean (white)
Blueberry (pastel purple)
All our cakes contain dairy, wheat and eggs and are made in an environment where nuts and soya are present. We therefore cannot guarantee that our cakes will not contain trace amounts of these ingredients. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements, allergies* or intolerances and we will do our best to cater for your needs.
* Unfortunately, we do not offer egg or dairy free cakes.
The portion guide below will provide you with an approximate idea of the size of cake and number of tiers you would need for the number of guests you have at your wedding:
For 100 guests a 3 tier: 25cm, 20cm, 15cm
For 120 guests a 3 tier: 30cm, 25cm, 20cm
For 150 guests a 4 tier: 30cm, 25cm, 20cm, 15cm
For 180 guests a 5 tier: 30cm, 25cm, 20cm, 15cm, 12.5cm
For 200 guests a 4 tier: 35cm, 30cm, 25cm, 20cm
For 225 guests a 5 tier: 35cm, 30cm, 25cm, 20cm, 15cm
For 250 guests a 6 tier: 35cm, 30cm, 25cm, 20cm, 15cm, 12.5cm
For 300 guests a 5 tier: 40cm, 35cm, 30cm, 25cm, 20cm
For 325 guests a 6 tier: 40cm, 35cm, 30cm, 25cm, 20cm, 15cm
For 350 guests a 7 tier: 40cm, 35cm, 30cm, 25cm, 20cm, 15cm, 12.5cm
Anything above 350 guests can be accommodated with larger tiers.
