Consultation
AND CAKE TASTING
Baker Boys Confectionery offer consultations and tastings in our beautiful wedding cake studio in Equestria, Pretoria East. This is a relaxed and informal meeting to discuss all your requirements relating to your wedding cake. Please bring along any colour samples, invitations, pictures, and theme ideas so we can plan your wedding cake to fit perfectly with your big day. The consultation and cake tasting is R180 per couple and lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
Tasting

Tea/coffee/water
Wedding details (venue, delivery, times, etc)
Discuss colour schemes, design elements, themes, etc
Cake tasting and choice of cake flavours. At the tasting you will get the
opportunity to taste six of our most popular cake flavours.
Cake toppers (lazer-cut initials, wording etc)
Wedding favours (type of favours and packaging)
Cake stand rental and any other requirements
* Traditional fruit cake will not be available as a taster.

QUOTATION
All our wedding cakes are quoted individually. The price of your wedding cake will depend on the number of tiers, amount of detail, technicality of the design, and whether it is a fondant or buttercream cake.
Please complete and submit the below information to receive a formal quotation for your wedding cake. If you would like to add any additional information on your design or if you have any questions, please use the description box.
Once you are happy with the formal quote, then we can liaise via email regarding the consultation and cake tasting. Please remember to advise us of any food allergies or special dietary requirements when booking your consultation.
How to book
YOUR WEDDING CAKE
Baker Boys Confectionery requires a 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm your wedding cake and wedding date. Wedding cake orders will only be confirmed once proof of the deposit payment is emailed to info@baker-boys.co.za and we have confirmed via email.
Please make use of your client code as the reference number on your payment so that we can track your quotation. Due to a limit on the number of wedding cakes taken per weekend, we operate on a first come first serve basis.
Cake
TOPPERS
Cake toppers are an important element of the wedding cake. We laser cut our own cake toppers which can be either in wood, mirror, Perspex, gold, or any other colour. Cake toppers can be initials, an intimate saying, family monogram, or any other wording the couple would like. Cake toppers can also be handmade from fondant such as the traditional bride and groom or any other figurines.
Cake
STAND RENTALS
To really show off your wedding cake we have a range of beautiful cake stands available for rental in silver, crystal, clear Perspex, wooden tree stumps, and hanging stands. A rental fee and a refundable deposit will be required for each stand and will be discussed at your consultation and cake tasting. It is the client’s responsibility to return the cake stand to our Shop address within 5 days of the wedding day. Additional details regarding the return of the stand are in our terms & conditions, which will be attached to your wedding cake quote
Delivery
OF YOUR CAKE
Due to the delicate nature of the sugar craft on your wedding cake, we personally prefer to deliver and set-up the cake at the wedding venue. The cost of delivery and set-up is venue location specific and will be included in your wedding cake quote. Please note that Baker Boys Confectionery will not be held liable for any damage to the wedding cake once we have left the venue. Additional information is in our terms & conditions.
Collection
OF YOUR CAKE
Wedding cakes that are travelling far distances can be collected from the bakery and transported by the client. Please remember to discuss this at your consultation and cake tasting. There will be an additional charge if you opt to collect your wedding cake, this will be for cake boxes and non-slip matting. The collection vehicle should have a flat surface and cannot be transported without air-conditioning or in direct sunlight. A collection note will need to be signed upon collection. Please note that Baker Boys Confectionery will not be held liable for any damage to the cake once the cake has left the bakery. Additional information is in our terms & conditions.
